Recap of the last few months...

I have not posted here in a long time. I realize some people check this that I wasn't aware of so I am going to try to start doing better.

Well, Lilah is now 8 months old. She's grown up so much in the last few months. She got eight teeth by the time she was 7 months old, which is not typical. She is pulling herself up to stand all the time now. She is gabbing constantly, her favorite thing to say has been dadadadadadadadadada. Luckily she's been gradually starting to say momomomomomom. She is getting into anything and everything she can, especially while she is in her walker. She has a mind of her own and a very strong will. She LOVES bath time. She got a new seat for Christmas that she can sit in on her own and play on her own. Her favorite thing to do is to keep her hands in the running water as the bath is filling up. It is so cute! I think she has about outgrown baby food. Anytime she sees Shawn and I eating she wants what we are having. She loves grabbing noses too, especially while she is falling asleep.

We are very excited about a gift she received in the mail recently. We want to especially thank John and Yi for thinking of her. Once she is big enough we will post pictures of her in her dress. We love it!!!

Shawn and I went out of town this past weekend and were blessed to have family keep Lilah for us. Tara, my sister in law, knows my hatred for the color pink. Well, to be funny she took the time to dress Lilah up. Although I can't stand it, I have to say, she is so stinkin cute!!!

September

The month of September was a big one for us. On September 5th we found Lilah's first tooth. About five days later we saw the second one coming through as well. They are the two middle one's on the bottom. It's kinda young to have them, but she is an over achiever! :) The weekend after we found the teeth, I went to check on her one morning and found that she had rolled herself over. On September 20th she had her first taste of cereal. She's growing up way too fast. We are enjoying every little milestone of her's. It seems like she is learning or doing something new every day.
I also turned 30 in September. It's hard to believe. Shawn surprised me with a very nice birthday party with a lot of friends and family there. I am extremely blessed!!

My Granny

Here is a picture of Lilah and my Granny. On August 22nd my Granny passed away. She was the epitome of class and grace. She lived every day of her life to the absolute fullest and will be missed terribly. Lilah will never know just how much she loved her.

Are those not the cutest feet in the world!?!? These were taken the week of the 4th of July. The Thornbury side of our family went to Topsail Island in North Carolina and Lilah got her first swim in the ocean. We had so much fun and Lilah couldn't have been any better for us!!

Lilah Mae Thornbury was born at 8:49 PM on May 25th. She weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces and was 18 3/4 inches long. She is the most precious thing in the world and we can't wait for everyone to meet her!! She has already turned our world upside down, but in a good way!! We are so blessed!

Lilah's Room

Here are some pictures of Lilah's room. Again we have been so blessed to have all the furniture made by Lilah's Papaw. We think it looks amazing. I am so pleased with how her room has turned out. We've been given so many things to make the room personalized for her. Three weeks to go!!

Guessing game!!!

If anyone wants to guess when Lilah should arrive there is a game above you can click on to put your guess in. I'll give everyone a quick update. She had been breech all along and we thought we were going to have to try to turn her, but we went to the Dr. yesterday and she flipped on her own. I was so relieved!! So she is right where she needs to be. We are four weeks away from our due date. We can't wait for her to get here!!!

32 week ultrasound

We had our 32 week ultrasound done today. We found out that Lilah weighs right around 4 pounds right now. She got the hiccups during the ultrasound which was funny. We think she looks like a pretty cute kid.
We are gradually getting the nursery done and once we do I will post pictures of it on here. We've been given so many cute things for her so far. We can't wait to see her in all her new clothes.

We've decided on a name for the baby girl and as you can guess we are going with Lilah Mae Thornbury. We feel like we know her a little bit more now. Here are some pictures of the furniture that her wonderful Papaw has made for her. We are so thrilled with it and can't wait to get it in her room!!!
